Governor Baker Appoints Commission on Clean Heat

“I will do everything in my power to advocate for our industry.”

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has appointed MEMA’s Charlie Uglietto, President of Cubby Oil & Energy, to the state’s Commission on Clean Heat.  The Commission, the first-of-its-kind in the United States, will establish a framework for a long-term decline in emissions from heating fuels.

“I am most pleased to have been chosen to represent our industry on the Commission,” said Uglietto, who serves on MEMA’s Board of Directors and is the former Board Chairman for the National Oilheat Research Alliance. “I will do everything in my power to advocate for our industry and demonstrate that we are a willing partner in reducing carbon emissions in Massachusetts with renewable Bioheat, and that we offer a more sensible, cost-effective solution to battle climate change versus electrification,” he said.
